it was like music to my ears when i heard you asked :) i am sure ah-mah felt the same˚

mini ride with 妹妹

it has been a long time since the family took a ride in the mini.

recently the chance came when papa's car had to stay in the workshop for more then a day!

for the first time our little family of 4 took a ride in the mini! we all enjoyed it.

we haven't done this for absolutely ages!

started a blog for hanah few days ago.  mama is wondering if i can cope with catching up with 2 growing girls! 

we are back in kl for chinese new year.  this time you are enjoying the festivity even more then previous years.  previously, you enjoyed the goodies during the celebration weeks.  this year, you get to enjoy it before it happened. 

''happy moo moo year!'' - you'd say.  

you witnessed the preparation around us as the new year drew near.  

while we are back in kl, you have been racing up and down 爸公公's house with the girls ( cousins - waiyee, faye, kk, kyl-linn & xuan xuan... we are so blessed to have a wonderful family to celebrate together.  each year mama look forward to gather with everyone.

papa reminded my late posting agian.

We have spent half the month of august away from singapore.


We had loads of fun in bangkok, experiencing ''new'' things like the JJ market. you have bee there when you were very little, but this time you could really enjoy it!


The we went to australia with gong-gong, ah-mah and gu-gu. we had a good time. it was the first time we go out on a holiday as a family. even better, mei-mei came along (in mama's stomach) too! sarah, this is something very special you know?! =)


The last day we went to KL ( ba gong-gong's house) again. You are really excited about the trip.


This time papa cannot be with us...you got to be brave agian...

always, i love you...

''always i love you mama...!'' thats what you told me when i arrived at dinner just now. mama is over the moon!

mama has finally stopped my full time job and has been able to go to school with you most of the mornings and see you when your day ended in childcare (mrs oh school you called it) =)

the family is gearing up for our new member. it is still a secret if baby is going to be a boy or girl.

you started with boy didi and now you say is going to be gir,meimei =) either way, we are excited.

you now begin to ask about baby and kiss baby.

mama is hoping to catch up some lost time with you. i know i could not replace those time i lost while working long hours for the last 2 years, i hope stopping full time work can help.

a few days ago, you told me " i like you!'' hugged me in enthusiasm. you have no idea how happy that makes me!

you are very expressive now. you tell us how you feel and makes you feel the way you do.

many people who have not seen you for a little while tell me that you have grown! =) indeed you have. even mama who looks at you every day, watching you play, eat and sleep is surprised to notice how you change.

everyone around seem excited about your birthday and that you were turning 3!


mama watched you, feeling a little melancholic about the fact that you are growing you too fast...but then again, i am always feeling this way.


perhaps my plan of being with you every step of the way did not exactly happen. it did not happen the way i wanted it to be anyway.


mama made the choice of returning to work. not realising that work overcame me so much that i often could not pull myself away.

long over-due update

it has been another month of packed schedule and bleak of impossibility to get by each week. lets take stock of the month's development...

fun time at the earth day picnic with childcare centre at the labrabor park. our centre (ghim moh) won 1st prize in the mascot competition! papa was the recycled man in carton box, newspaper head gear and a paper hear! teachers and friends were all proud =) the best part of the day was all fun and learning about being green and loving planet earth!

then there was a week that mama most dreaded. mama when to the uk for work. whilst mama was happy to visit the country again, it was painful to not see you. i tried not to think too much about it, and imagine in future days, the great places to show and enjoy with you.

the week went by pretty quickly and we zoomed off to hong kong straight after mama came back to singapore! wow, it was wonderful to be able to spend all the time with you. we first went to disneyland, and met ba-gonggong, ah-mah, kaykay jj, wai yee jj, wai meng gor-gor, wai hong gor-gor at the disneyland hollywood hotel. it was very exciting for everyone to meet in another country other then the one we normally stayed in.

the next 7 days were time very well spent. disneyland with jj and gorgor, taking each day slowly, no rush, mama not having to worry about the loads of work waiting for me in the office. mama was determined to spend quality time with you. even engineered time for papa to go out with wai meng gor-gor!! heehee =) we also got to meet up with cheng-yi, fay fay jj and uncle simon!

God has been really kind to us sarah! indeed so so blessed!

brand new year

we were in KL. we had a party at dai-yi's place (30/1/06). it was wonderful. as every streamed into he house, filling up the hall with laughter...drowning the ''chaos'' in the kitchen...mama counted our blessings. the fact that so many love ones gathered and celebrated.

independence - starting a little early huh??
you want to do things by yourself. wearing your shoes. ''shopping'' - puting a garment (with hanger) next to your body...smile in contantment.
holding on to the house keys, open the door, the gate, the letterbox!
you continue to insist on eating on your own, because you discovered the joy of choosing what to be put into your mouth. even when using the chopsticks is beyond you.

mama wondered "...sigh! is she growing up that fast??!"

missing them...

a lorry pulled over and stopped next to papa's car. the uncles sitting at the back of the lorry had just finished a hard day's work.

some of them noticed you in the car. you looked back at them and waved. you even did some of your recent ''tricks''- bird flapping wings, cheekier smiles...they laughed even harder.

just before papa drove off, you did you infamous ''mmuah!'' the uncles were thrilled! papa noticed one of them turned to another, said something, looked away and began to weep. he missed them...

papa thought to himself, "we are so lucky.."

indeed, huijun. papa and mama are so fortunate to have you with us all the time. these uncles in the lorry left their hometowns to work in other countires (in this case, singapore). hoping to make better life for their love ones and family back home. they only get to see their love ones once a year, if not once evey 2 years!

we have to treasure our love ones who are by our side. we count our blessings that if ever we miss each other, we get to call on the phone, chat on msn, video call and even fly to see each other. these uncles don't get to do this as often as they would love to.

mama wish that the father who misses his children so much, will get to call home tonight. hear the lovely voices of his children and family. wish that he is assured that his children are all good and looking forward to see him when he gets home in the near future... that many wishes he has for his family will be fullfilled.
